Water Treatment Field Tools
Bench testing and dewatering calculators
For plant operators and technicians

Run the test. Get the number. Print the report.

Two calculators built for the way work actually happens at a treatment plant — standing at a bench with an iPad, not sitting at a desk afterwards. Every figure is shown with the formula behind it, and every tool prints a clean report you can hand to a supervisor before you leave the building.

🔒

Nothing leaves your device

No server, no account, no database. Every calculation runs in your browser.

📶

Works without signal

Once the page has loaded it keeps working, which matters in a plant basement.

🖨

Prints a real report

Not a screenshot — a formatted document with your data, photos and findings.

📐

Shows the math

Every result expands to reveal the formula worked through with your own numbers.

The tools

Both are single pages that load instantly and need nothing installed. Each has a built-in guide covering the procedure, the formulas, and how to read the result.

Bench testing

Polymer Jar Test Suite

Work out exactly how many millilitres to add to each jar, record what you observe, and let the tool identify the optimum dose. When you have screened several products, run them head to head on one sludge sample and rank them on cost per dry ton — which is often a different answer from price per pound.

Stock and working solution recipes, calculated per product
Dose schedule you take to the bench
Warns when added volume would dilute the sample
Photograph the flocs straight from the iPad camera
Picks the optimum on CST, or drainage if you have no CST meter
Head-to-head comparison with annual cost projection
2 – 10
jars per trial, any number of products
$ / dry ton
the metric that decides which product actually wins
One file
saves the whole evaluation, photos included

Dewatering

Belt Filter Press Calculator

Model the whole press operation from feed to cake. Enter the feed rate per press, solids and operating hours, and it works out dry tonnage, polymer demand, cake production, filtrate volume and the loading checks that tell you whether the presses are set up sensibly for the load.

Full daily mass balance that closes in and out
Throughput per press against the usual 2,000 lb/hr minimum
Hydraulic and solids loading per metre of belt
Cake production and volume reduction factor
Polymer cost per dry ton, corrected for active content
Flags recycle load when capture rate is low
Live
every figure updates as you type or drag
3 checks
throughput, cake solids and capture, with pass or fail
2 pages
printed report covering inputs and results

How your data is handled

These are static pages. There is no server behind them, no login, and no database.

These are engineering estimates

Confirm measured sludge properties, actual operating conditions, polymer dose from a bench test, and equipment capacity before using any figure for purchasing, bidding or design. Bench results are a starting point — expect to re-optimise on the full-scale machine.
